Our company builds relationships with academic institutions around the USA to meet the needs and goals of our international students.

We provide excellent service to our students and host families. Our local representatives monitor our families and students to ensure our students' safety at all times. Global Student Services of America runs background checks on all of our host families 18 years and above before a student is placed in a host family.

ABOUT GLOBAL STUDENT SERVICES OF AMERICA

Our Vision is to work with worldwide agencies around the world to build new relationships that can further meet the educational goals of our students. Thru this we will build new understandings and mutual respect for each others customs.

Services Provided by Global Student Services of America

Our Global Student Services host families are chosen very carefully.

Our host families can be a single parent, or a 2 person family with or without children.

Our Host families will speak English.

Global Student Services of America chooses warm caring parents who would treat our international students like their own children. Some families may be working parents, empty nesters or children that are grown and do not live at home anymore.

Global Student Services of America will arrange for our host families to pick up your son or daughter at the airport when they arrive in USA.

Global Student Services of America will closely monitor our host families so students adapt to American life and encourage students to join activities at school and host family.

Global Students Services of America will monitor students gaming and overuse of electronics in the host family so grades do not get affected.

Global Student Services of America will contact students school for school reports and transcripts so our international students succeed.

Global Student Services of America will provide school reports and transcripts to natural families along with monthly reports on student’s progress.

Global Student Services of America will provide natural parents with school portal link so natural families can monitor their son/ daughter’s grades.

Global Student Services of America will help students choose their academic courses in school when needed.

Global Student Services of America will consult with students on preparing for their SAT, TOEFL, ACT tests for college.

Global Student Services of America will help students apply to many universities after they graduate if this service is needed.

The international students may go to top 100 universities if their GPA and SAT, TOEFL scores reach certain standards. Global Student Services of America can let the international students prepare for those tests with their parents allowing and buying our service. All of these items can be controlled during their high school years.

MONICA DIONNE: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/PRESIDENT

My background consists of over 20 year experience with international student placement. I have worked for many agencies over the years and contributes to the success of those companies. My prior experiences in hosting and placing students across America enables me to share my life experiences and insights with our local representatives and new host families during trainings . Our training has prepared both the local representatives and the host families on how to best transition an international student to life in America. Over the last 5 years I have worked for Global Language Service Networks Inc. in a Executive Director Role in placing international students across the USA.

Global Student Services of America is an exciting agency that has been actively contacting schools across the USA, seeking to place international students into American Middle and High Schools from a diverse range of countries such as Korea, China, Denmark, Spain, Brazil, Africa, Latin America, India, Czech Republic, Italy, Vietnam, Japan, Russia. Through Global Student Services of America partnerships with quality Sevis approved Catholic and private schools, our students from around the world have the opportunity to study a college preparatory curriculum while improving their English skills. The education that students receive extends beyond the classroom as they participate in school sports and clubs. Through these extra-curricular activities, they learn to work together as a team and to develop lifelong relationships that give memories that they will cherish forever.

Global Student Services of America is invested in the success of the students in their program and offers tutoring ESL ,SAT and TOEFL preparation. We accept students ages 12-20 years old. Our local representatives work closely in partnership with the host family and schools to ensure that the students stay, and experiences in this country are successful and fulfilling for all parties.

EXCHANGE STUDENT PROGRAMS

Global Student Services of America welcomes students worldwide into our F-1 private school program. We offer a variety of programs to choose from:

Academic Year Program:

Our year-round exchange student program, which generally runs from August to June.

Semester Year Program:

Our half-year exchange student program, which generally runs from January to June.

ESL Tutoring:

Our ESL Tutoring programs are offered in group sessions or one-on-one sessions. Tutoring will depend on the needs of each individual student.

Summer Camp Programs:

Our summer camps are available on both the East Coast and West Coast of the United States, and generally will last 3-4 weeks.

Winter Camp Programs:

Our winter camps, which generally take place during the month of January and last a couple of weeks, are a perfect opportunity for international students to experience life in the United States prior to committing to attend school in the U.S.

SAT Prep:

This program will help students prepare themselves to take the SAT's by enriching the skills needed to score highly on the critical reading, writing & math sections. The program will help students develop test taking strategies, as well as enhance reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills needed to score highly on the SAT.

TOEFL Prep:

The TOEFL is a required test for all international students who intend on pursuing higher education at Universities or Colleges in the United States. This program will help students prepare themselves to take the TOEFL.

Host FAMILY

LEARN ABOUT BECOMING A HOST FAMILY

Host families are welcome to apply to become a host family for Global Student Services of America. We are always looking for loving, caring families that can open their hearts and homes to an international student.

Our host families are asked to treat our international students as their own children. Students come from all over the world and look for a loving family that they can join and learn American customs.

If you would like to learn more about being a host family please contact our administrative office by calling 215-547-3179, or by filling the contact form on our website. If you decide you would like to host one of our students we will provide you with a host family application to complete.

BENEFITS OF BECOMING A HOST FAMILY

Host Families provide a room for their student that includes a desk and desk light for studying purposes, as well as three meals a day. The student is expected to become part of the family, joining your family in activities, excursions and helping with some household chores. Families support the student as they adjust to American culture by being an active member of their school and community.

While interacting with your family, your student will be learning English, and experiencing American culture. This is always a good time for the student to share their culture, traditions and holidays with you. Families also have the chance to try new foods. Through opening your hearts and homes, you will have the opportunity to form lasting relationships with friends from around the world. Hosting students gives families the opportunity to see their community through new eyes.
